The Senior Managing Director of Bouwfonds REIM, Jean Klijnen, announced that as of 1 December 2011, he will be stepping down as a board member of Bouwfonds REIM and as a member of the main board of directors of Rabo Real Estate Group for health reasons.
Over the past few years, Jean Klijnen was regularly unable to work due to problems with his health. By stepping down from all his positions under the articles of association within Rabo Real Estate Group, Klijnen will now be able to focus on a full recovery. Jean Klijnen’s tasks will be handled internally for the time being, until a definite successor has been appointed.
Jean (J.L.M.J.) Klijnen started his career in real estate investment management in 1982 at the Algemeen Burgerlijk Pensioenfonds (ABP). He then moved to ABN AMRO Corporate Finance Real Estate, where he served as senior vice president. In 2000, Klijnen stood at the cradle of Bouwfonds Asset Management, today’s Bouwfonds REIM, as one of the firm’s founders.
Klijnen will remain in the employment of Rabo Real Estate Group, from where he will be able to continue working on his reintegration.
